Day-trippers are not permitted and children under 15 years of age are not catered for. Four styles of accommodation compile the 27 rooms at the Orpheus Island Resort Hotel. Nestled amongst the gardens just 20 metres from the beach are 15 studios, four suites and two bungalows. Sited in the forested hillside are 6 Mediterranean style villas surrounded in lush tropical rainforest. The restaurant at the Orpheus Island Resort Hotel is open air and situated along the beachfront with only the bougainvilleas and palm trees separating it from the sea. A range of recreational facilities are also included, such as water skiing (with free lessons if necessary), catamarans, canoes, windsurfers, motorised dinghies, snorkelling, use of light fishing gear, and a 'Discover Scuba' experience. Scuba diving is also available for an additional charge. Guests can also go bush walking, utilise the two swimming pools (one with a swim up bar), heated spa, or recreation room with television, video, games, and a billiard table.
